Football my life

Ever since have been really little I have played football and I always wanted to play college football. It all started in 5th grade as an experiment with some of my friends. I loved it, It was the only sport at my school that you could just keep hitting people with out getting in trouble. It's hard to remember back in 5th grade playing, but I do remember watching the varsity team playing on Friday nights. That's when I said to my self "You'll be out there one day." It was the beginning of my 8th grade year, and I was feeling really confident. The first scrimmage came around and I was running all over kids breaking out for 20 and 30 yards a play I was like a machine.
Later in the year we were going against our rivalry, it was tied 0-0. They handed off to me and I broke out for a 80 yard touchdown for the win. The next game I was leading scorer with 4 TD. Me and my friend also injured 12 kids from the other team "NO LIE."It was the last game of my 8th grade year and I was all over the field, running, tackling, sacking and scoring. I was nominated MVP for that year, and I was so happy. Then it was time for JV football
JV football caught me off guard a little bit, I almost had a heat stroke my first game and I injured my knee the first game and was suppose to go get a M.R.I, but never went and got one because I couldn't miss the games. The next thing I knew was the Varsity coach asked me to play for him, I couldn't turn it down so I said yes. I really didn't expect to play, then I heard Erik O'Shea get out there as middle linebacker. I jumped up and sprinted out there. That game I was in the newspaper with 7 tackles. The next day my parents got calls from friends and family and they told them that I was in the paper for football. I knew my parents were proud of me then.
My friends were all mad at me because I had more friends and I was able to play Varsity football as a freshmen. They really never said good job or anything to congratulate me. I just dealt with it. I had to look forward and play the game of my life "FOOTBALL"
Every game after that through out my high school career year my name was in the paper for tackles or for yards gained or touchdowns. Some of the guys that graduated 2 years before me told me to try for Ferris State University because I would make it easily.
I didn't try out for FSU because my thoughts were to join the navy, and give up the game of my life. I regret not going out and trying now. I had so much going for me with possible scholarships to play football and go to a university. I just let my grades slip and my love for the game disappear. I realized I wanted to play when it was too late. If I would have acted right away and not let anything get in front of me, I would have achieved one of my life long goals.

The Game

" It's harder to give up than push harder" This quote is running through my head. I heard this today when I was reading someone Else's blog. I have had my ups and downs with training.

A couple days ago I was standing on the side line of a flag football game at college. I was standing there in the cold just thinking and hoping I could play college ball. I just stood there talking to my friend about football, and watched the game go on.

Yesterday, I was outside with one of my good friends running routes and plays. He said you have to sprint every time you see the ball. I said "Yeah Right." He said if you want to play college football you have to keep your speed up, and then he threw it and I blasted off. He told me that I should have been a wide out or a receiver because I have hands and can catch a football. I said yeah that would have been sweet to be a wide out, but I'm 5'8 and too short. "He laughed." He told me to run a streak. Blue eighteen down set hut. I bolted down my yard and then he whipped it. I caught over my shoulder and ran it into my touchdown area. Running these plays and routes makes the training come clearer to me.
